ACADEMY ACCREDITATION SYSTEM
The AAS evaluates 14 criteria to ensure accredited clubs have a youth development programme that fulfil the 5 principles of Competition, Talent ID, Philosophy, Structure, and Opportunity.
COMPETITION
Accredited clubs/academies will have the opportunity to participate in FAS/UTR competitions
TALENT ID
Players in all accredited clubs/academies are expected to be released for National Youth Team training/matches if selected
PHILOSOPHY
FAS to provide direction via a National Playing Philosophy
STRUCTURE
Ensure that all clubs/academies achieve minimum standards in terms of coaching and facilitate coach education opportunities for coaches
OPPORTUNITY
Provide young players with the opportunity to participate in a low/no cost club/academy
Accreditation consists of three tiers with varying levels of requirements. This is to make it easier for grassroots organisations to get accreditation and reap its benefits.
The highest standard, signifying an excellent environment that far surpasses basic requirements.
Programs are very good, exceeding the minimum standards for quality youth development.
Meets the baseline expectations for quality youth development.
All clubs and academies can apply for the Academy Accreditation System (AAS) by signing up via the AAS Application Form.
Email the completed forms to the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) at aas@fas.org.sg. Further instructions and information on the requirements will be provided via email.
Upon the outcome of evaluations, newly accredited clubs will be placed in the appropriate tier and current accredited clubs may be moved between tiers.
